Valentina Marinescu holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (University of Bucharest, 2000). Currently, she is based at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work there. She is interested in communication, mass media, methodology of social research, with a special focus on Eastern Europe.

It is my aim to offer a more comprehensive image of SSH and their condition, both in Romania and in other countries. My hope is that this will help improve their role as leading actors in today’s global transition.
